学习与工作经历

1984年本科毕业于湖南师范学院生物专业，获理学学士学位；1985-1988年于湖南师范大学攻读植物学专业，获理学硕士学位；1992-1995年于中山大学攻读植物学专业博士研究生，获理学博士学位。1997年破格晋升为教授。中共湖南省第十次党代表，湖南省第十一届人大代表。历任湘潭师范学院（现湖南科技大学）生物系主任、中共桂阳县委副书记、临武县人民政府县长、郴州职业技术学院院长、湖南城市学院党委书记、中南林业科技大学党委书记等职。

学术任职及奖励

二级教授，博士生导师，享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家，湖南省新世纪121人才工程第一层次人选，湖南省环境资源植物开发与利用工程技术研究中心主任。担任湖南省科协常委，兼任湖南省生态学会副理事长、洞庭湖区域经济社会发展研究会副会长等学术团体职务。主持项目获国家级教学成果二等奖1项，湖南省教学成果一等奖2项、二等奖2项，湖南省科技进步二等奖2项，湖南省科技进步三等奖1项，益阳市科技进步一等奖5项。

科研、教学及学术活动

主要从事环境植物多功能利用及调控机理，微生物、多功能材料在景观恢复中的应用等研究，主持了国家自然科学基金、国家社会科学基金、国家公益性行业科研专项等国家级课题4项，省部级课题20余项（其中省级重大招标及重大委托项目5项、重点项目6项）。指导博士、硕士研究生40余名。
